First time reader. Just loved "Patchwork Family".The characters were so real; couldn't put it down. Really enjoy books that start in the 1800s and continue thru upcoming generations with their happiness, trials, etc. Already marked my calendar to look for the next release. From Louise Dietrich of Matawan, NJ, USA on 8/25/2005 12:10:14 PM

Ms. Hubbard, I just finished reading "A Patchwork Family", and it was absolutely wonderful! The characters came to life in my mind. I could envision the tone and way that Billy talked, and I found him to be amusing, to say the least. His sister on the other hand, I felt like wacking- in the beginning, but it seems she turned out to be quite the Lady. I was heartbroking when Judd and Nathanial were killed by the indians, and happy when Mike turned to Mercy's aide.
From Karen Jenkins of Rochester, NY, USA on 8/24/2005 10:52:14 PM

I have always been a fan of Francine Rivers, especially her historical romances. However, I read "A Patchwork Family" this weekend and I think FR will have to move over on my shelf of favorites. Love it!

My mother found A Patchwork Family at the bookstore a few weeks ago. She is an avid reader, and hasn't gotten this excited about a book in a long time! She has been batteling cancer for the past year and is unable to do alot. So she scoures the bookstores when she gets out of the house for something to keep her mind occupied. I read your book after she was finished and it was delightful! Please let me know when you are releasing anymore like this one so I can get them for her! Thank you and take care! Sincerly, Melissa
